    "We develop and apply imaging nanotechnologies to study cellular signaling in health and disease. Our basic research thrust is to develop molecular-scale quantitative imaging tools to understand the spatiotemporal dynamics of cellular signaling in the nervous system. Our applied research thrust is to develop new technologies to identify and assess drug effectiveness in cancer and neurodegenerative diseases."
