Oregon National Primate Research Center

Summary:

As one of the eight National Primate Research Centers in the United States, our mandate as a Center is to provide Nonhuman Primate (NHP) resources for the very best scientific programs, both within the Oregon Health & Science University community and beyond.

Organisms and Viruses

  • Cynomolgous macaques ( Macaca fascicularis )

    The ONPRC breeds and houses a small population of pathogen-free Cynomolgous macaques.

  • Japanese macaques ( Macaca fuscata )

    The ONPRC breeds and houses a small population of pathogen-free Japanese macaques.

  • Rhesus macaques ( Macaca mulatta )

    The ONPRC breeds and houses over 4,000 pathogen-free rhesus macaques.
