Research interests center around the secondary use of clinical data for research, with attention on user interfaces, underlying controlled vocabularies, and data structures.
Software used in conjunction with Dr. Logan's 'Data Analyst Dashboard software' for the manipulation of clinical data in database form.
This software performs a number of different operations and transformations on physical database, the most important of which is the conversion of the physical database schema into a virtual format that is easily understood by database analysts.
The tools are wrapped into a graphical architecture known as Graphical-User-Interface-As-View architecture (GUAVA).
Software used in conjunction with Dr. Logan's 'Cross-trial database integration and manipulation software' for the manipulation of clinical data in database form.
The analyst dashboard allows a user to define queries, including data filters and classifiers and to integrate multiple datasets, to produce output of a single, integrated data file for import into a statistical package. The software gives users who are unable or unwilling to program and run complex queries against a physical database the ability to develop these queries graphically on a virtual database. The data resulting from these analyst-defined queries as well as the queries themselves can be saved and exported.
