Summary:

The mission of the Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center (PCTRC) is to improve child health by providing a dedicated inpatient and outpatient research unit in Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Inpatient nursing services in the 10N section of Doernbecher Children's Hospital
Outpatient nursing services in Doernbecher Children's Hospital
Pediatric RN study coordinators
Bionutrition services

The Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center (PCTRC) was opened in July 2008 and is a collaboration among OCTRI, Doernbecher Children's Hospital and Foundation, and the OHSU Department of Pediatrics. OCTRI supports investigators from a wide variety of disciplines who conduct child health research.

  • Pediatric Nursing Services ( Support service )

    "OCTRI offers unique support for child health protocols through the Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center (PCTRC) in Doernbecher Children's Hospital (DCH). The PCTRC has clinical space in Doernbecher Children’s Hospital for both pediatric inpatient and outpatient research.

    Pediatric study coordinator nurses work closely with investigators, study staff, clinical research nurses and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital nurses to ensure the success of pediatric protocols from study set-up through the final participant visit. The pediatric study coordinator nurses have experience interacting with young study participants and their families and may take on both a clinical and study coordination role.

  • Pediatric Study Coordination ( Support service )

    "OCTRI offers unique support for child health protocols through the Pediatric Clinical and Translational Research Center. The study coordinator team is made up of both nurses and non-nurse coordinators, all of whom have experience interacting with young study participants and their families. The pediatric study coordinators work closely with investigators, study staff, and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital nurses to ensure the success of pediatric protocols from study set-up through the final participant visit.
