Daniel Werle Practice

Inpatient Clinical Practice at OHSU (adult) Hospital.

    • CareFusion 50-7000B PleurX pleural drainage catheter system ( Medical device )

Semi-permanent pleural drainage catheter designed for individual, outpatient use. The catheter is designed for patients with recurrent pleural effusions.

    • I-Flow ON-Q PainBuster pain relief system ( Medical device )

The ON-Q pain catheter is used for a variety of different surgeries for post-operative pain control. In our division, we use it as a paravertebral pain catheter in place of an epidural pain catheter as an adjunct for post-operative pain control.

    • Endobronchial ultrasound biopsy of mediastinal lymph nodes ( Access service )

This procedure involves mediastinal lymph node sampling with use of an Olympus EBUS bronchoscope. At OHSU, with our service, the procedure is done by the thoracic surgery team (or the pulmonary medicine team, in a separate environment) after the patient has received general anesthesia and is orally intubated. Inpatient or outpatient procedure.
